Consuming a healthy amount of water is of vital importance for health. The human body is made up by an average of 55% to 78% water. Did you know that your tissues and organs are composed mostly of water?

For example, muscles contain 75% water, brain contains 90%, bones contain 22%, and the blood contains 83% water.

Water plays an important role in keeping our body healthy. Every cell of our body needs water, and that is a good enough reason to drink it regularly. For example, if the brain does not receive enough water, will not be able to function, which can cause a headache or fatigue. So, the next time you feel a headache or fatigue, drink water because it may be the first sign of dehydration.

Dehydration is a major problem, and can even cause death. To recognize dehydration, read more about the symptoms.

Dehydration symptoms

Dark urine

Dark yellow or orange color with intense smell of urine is a sign that you need to drink more water.

Dry skin

The skin is the largest organ of the body and requires its share of water.

Thirst

The most obvious sign of dehydration, and the best would be if you were to drink water even when you do not feel thirsty.

Hunger

Most people hunger still perceive as the need for food, and it can be a sign of dehydration.

Fatigue

Water is a source of energy and provides an incentive body to perform all its functions.

Benefits of regular consumption of water

Weight loss

Water reduces the feeling of hunger, which makes it excellent for appetite control. In addition, water does not contain calories, which means that this is the healthiest and most effective weight loss drink.

Cure for headaches

Water helps in relieving headaches and reduces the frequency of migraine. While there are many reasons for the occurrence of headaches, dehydration is the most common.

Higher productivity

Regular consumption of water will allow the brain a sufficient level of water in order to smoothly perform the functions and your concentration and caution will be at a higher level.

Strengthens the immune system

Water helps protect against diseases such as influenza and the common cold. Add a slice of lemon in the water and your body will protect you from respiratory diseases, intestinal problems, rheumatism, arthritis, kidney stones and heart attack.

Reduces stress

Your brain is made up of 90% water. If there is not enough water, your body and mind will be stressed. When you feel thirsty, you are already slightly dehydrated. To reduce stress, always hold a glass or bottle of water next to you and drink regularly.

Younger look

Lines and wrinkles on the skin are deeper when you are dehydrated. When the skin is properly moisturized, it will look younger. Water helps in regeneration of skin tissue, moisturizes the skin and increases its elasticity. Water also purifies the skin cells, improves circulation making your skin clearer and brighter.

Water prevents muscle spasms and acts as a lubricant for muscles and joints. When you provide your body enough water, you will have more energy, which means that you will be able to exercise longer and better.

Get rid of cellulite!

Cellulite, that nasty spoiler of female beauty. We all have it, and want to get rid of it. But how? I will show you my way of dealing with that ugly appearance in this post.
First of all, if you want to get rid of cellulite, you need to hydrate your body. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day, because cellulite occurs due to dehydration. Second, drink four cups of parsley tea a day. Why parsley tea? Because, parsley tea is very efficient natural diuretic, and will cleanse your body of toxins.

Parsley tea is easy to make:
1. boil water (about 1 liter)
2. add cleansed parsley root in a water
3. let it boil for 1 minute
4. let it cool down (room temperature)

Drink this tea every day for a month, then do a pause for two weeks. You can even add some lemon in a tea, but do not add sugar. The results will be visible after first week of drinking this tea.

You will also need to do massage cellulite-affected areas with scrubs in your bathtub or shower.

This is a recipe for anti-cellulite scrub, which is highly efficient.

You will need:
- salt (2 teaspoons)
- coffee (1 teaspoon)
- cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- geranium essential oil (5-6 drops)
- almond oil (3-4 teaspoons)

scrub

Massage cellulite-affected areas once a week with this scrub. You can also scrub your whole body with this, your skin will be extra soft. If you don't have almond oil, you can add some other oil, like olive, or unrefined sunflower oil. I added geranium essential oil in this scrub, because it has anti-cellulite effect. If you don't have it, you can do this scrub without it, but I recommend buying that oil.

You can also have anti-cellulite bath, once a week, if you have a bathtub. Just add a few cups of coarse sea salt in a warm (100 F) water, and relax for 20 minutes. After bath, take a rough towel and scrub cellulite-affected areas, massage in your favorite body lotion and enjoy that "new skin" feeling. :)

And at last, but not less important - physical exercise. Go on a walk when you can, run, swim, ride a bicycle... Anything. Exercise is important in fighting cellulite, because you need to stimulate your blood circulation in order to get rid of cellulite.

I hope you will find this post helpful and get rid of cellulite fast! :)
