One tangerine weighing about 110 grams contains 32 milligrams of vitamin C which is half the recommended daily allowance. It is important not to throw the peel of tangerine, in case of unsprayed fruit. Chop peeled rind into small pieces and dry them in a protected area. When dry, it can be added to cakes, compotes, teas or baths for recovery.
When buying, be careful, because tangerines in the stores tend to be treated with various pesticides. Preferably buy organically grown tangerines, or before consuming, soak in cold water for two hours.
